The most popular event in Beach Boardwalker history is BACK!!​ Both the Cambria Scarecrow Festival and the Central Coast Beach Boardwalkers have made necessary Social Distancing adjustments, but the Scarecrow Walk is ON! Modified 5K and 10K walks have been created just for this event, and we hope you will join us on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

All walks start at the Bluebird Inn in quaint downtown Cambria, located at 1880 Main Street. Our registration table will be open from 8-11 am, and all standard social distancing protocols will be in place (masks required, 6-ft spacing, minimal contact). Instead of scarecrows spaced out all along the town, there are now four displays of scarecrows to visit and view the artistic creations. Both our 5K and our 10K walks visit all installations, so you're sure to see them all!

Feeling adventurous? Our 10K walk sees all the scarecrows, and then gets us back to nature as we stroll along the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk and the tree-lined Santa Rosa Creek trail (rated 2B, walking sticks recommended). Enjoy sweeping ocean vistas in both directions, as well as a relaxing trail hike through preserved wild land.
