2nd Annual Cambria Scarecrow Festival Weekend Event
Scarecrows, Octoberfest, and a Boardwalk ... OH, MY!!
The most popular event in Beach Boardwalker history is BACK!! The Second Annual Cambria Scarecrow Festival, Octoberfest, and Moonstone Beach Boardwalk 2-Day Traditional Event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 19 and 20, 2019.
All walks start at the Bluebird Inn in quaint downtown Cambria, located at 1880 Main Street. Saturday brings us the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt with Octoberfest Walk, taking you past Nit Wit Ridge (a house made from "garbage") and the historic Santa Rosa Chapel, the oldest non-mission church in San Luis Obispo County. And, of course, over 100 life-sized scarecrows depicting literary and real-life characters from days-gone-by! A special treat of beer, bratwurst, and oompah music awaits weary walkers at the annual Octoberfest Celebration right along both the 5K and 10K Volksmarches.
Sunday gets us back to nature as we stroll along the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk and the tree-lined Santa Rosa Creek trail (rated 2B, walking sticks recommended). Enjoy sweeping ocean vistas in both directions, as well as a relaxing trail hike through preserved wild land.
Get out into the beautiful Central Coast weather and join the Beach Boardwalkers for some Fun, Fitness, and Friendship, Scarecrow Style!
