TRADITIONAL EVENTS (TEs)
University Walkin', Santa Maria Style!
Let's get some Fun and Fitness back into our lives, Walkers! We will meet between 8 - 11 am at the Historic Santa Maria Inn, 801 South Broadway, in Santa Maria this Saturday to enjoy a nice 5K or 10K morning walk, with social distancing protocols in place!
Meet at our registration table right outside the front entrance any time between 8-11 am, and finish your walk by 2 pm. Four-legged walking companions are welcome, with leash and clean-up. Walks are on sidewalks and city streets, so strollers and wheelchairs should not have much difficulty. Discover the charm of the Historic Santa Maria Inn, stroll through the campus of our own Hancock College, and discover the first planned neighborhood in the city... there's something for everyone! Plus, this walk qualifies for our University Walkin' Special Program!
Please know that masks are strictly required at the start table, with six-feet social distancing expected between all non-family members. The walk costs just $3.00, with no extra charge for Volksmarching credit. Please bring exact change or a check written to CCBB to minimize the exchange of cash. Of course, donations to our non-profit club are always graciously accepted!
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday, December 5th!

Beach Boardwalkers Give Back
The Central Coast Beach Boardwalkers value the American Volkssport Association ideals of Fun, Fitness, and Friendship. We look forward to meeting many new friends on the trails! But we would like to do just a little bit more: we want to leave our walks just a little bit better than they were when we got there. The CCBB has invested in a set of Litter Pickers (the extended-reach claws that allow trash to be picked up without bending over) and trash bags. These supplies will be available at every Group Walk, and will be available to anyone wanting to collect a few pieces of trash along the route. The fastest walkers will pick up some and leave others, and the next walkers will pick up a few more. This 100% voluntary program is not associated with any philanthropic cause; we just want to make our little corner of the world a bit better as we go. Any suggestions or improvements to this program are warmly accepted, and we look forward to making this a long-lasting tradition!
Yay for Motivated Members!
